a season of purpose

The Bloom Design Company helps mamas find purpose and freedom to pursue their own passions during the season of motherhood, when they might otherwise feel limited by napping schedules, slobbery kisses, and opinionated eaters.

A brief history

This website was started back in 2014 as an online portfolio to showcase freelance graphic design projects by founder Rachel Cottrell. It quickly became a creative outlet and blog that allowed Rachel to share her passion for design and business, as a way to influence other entrepreneurial designers.

As the years have gone on, this space has gained the greater purpose of being primarily a resource for young, creative mothers looking to turn their hobbies into side hustles. We share educational content and offer virtual assisting services on a whole range of topics including online marketing, graphic design, and balancing motherhood with your creative side business.

We believe that just because your whole word has changed with the addition of children, your own dreams for a career or a fulfilling hobby don’t have to take the back seat. You’ve got too many carseats and backpacks back there anyway. Even with a baby on your hip, you can still pursue a money-making avenue with your unique talents.
